If anyone is able to assist, that would be greatly appreciated. I am also unable to find the model number for the Surface Pro 6, but searching indicates that the model 1796, written on my device, is a 2017 Surface Pro 5. I still have about 2 months to return the device if I am unhappy, but I would like to confirm first if this is just a mistake on my part or if I am not getting what I paid for. I am unable to determine if this is actually a Pro 6 aside from the model number on the back of the device. The box seems to be legitimate, as well as the accessories (pen and type cover), but as they all look exactly the same (device came in silver, not black, 128GB model). I've checked in the settings, the CPU is claimed to be an i5 8250U, but of course there's no way to physically check.

Is Microsoft reusing the chassis of last year's model or am I victim to false advertising/my own stupidity?
